StreamZH
Our own media app: library, indexers, downloads and requests in one place. CloudZH sets it up and moves you over from Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and SABnzbd.
What it is
StreamZH is open source (GPL-3.0) and made by the CloudZH team. It handles movies and series, indexers, its own Usenet and torrent downloads, requests and a Discord bot, with the TRaSH Guides built in. It is in the App Store for Standard and Pro, as the featured card at the very top. Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and SABnzbd stay in the App Store if you prefer them.
Install
- App Store → Install StreamZH.
- Optional: paste your free TMDB key, from themoviedb.org → Settings → API. StreamZH checks it before saving it. Without a key StreamZH can't find movies and series; you can add it later.
- Click Install. The console shows every step, and the StreamZH card lists what is left to do.
What CloudZH sets up
- Owner account: your user name with a generated password. You don't need it while you open StreamZH through CloudZH; it is under Manage and Security → Credentials.
- Folders: the storage location
/data, the root folders/data/media/moviesand/data/media/tv, and downloads under/data/streamzh. - Sign-in: StreamZH opens with your CloudZH sign-in, without a second password.
- Your old apps: if Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and SABnzbd are installed, StreamZH takes them over side by side, Usenet passwords included. Nothing in them changes, nothing moves and nothing downloads again. Movies and series come over as soon as StreamZH has your TMDB key.
Installed StreamZH with CloudZH 1.6.0, or skipped the TMDB key? Click Finish setup in the StreamZH card, or run zh app streamzh setup on the server. Finish setup asks for the TMDB key when StreamZH has none yet.
Sign-in and friends
Only administrators open StreamZH, with their CloudZH sign-in. Friends don't see it, and their media library and downloads never name the app behind them. CloudZH removes a forged sign-in header before it checks the session. The owner password stays as a fallback in case StreamZH is ever opened without CloudZH in front.
Switch over
While StreamZH runs side by side, it grabs nothing on its own and the old apps keep working as before. When you are happy, open StreamZH → Settings → Migration and switch over. From then on StreamZH searches, grabs and upgrades by itself.
The CloudZH media library follows at once: the web player, share links, Discover, episodes, downloads and the quality setting run on StreamZH, and the library shows via StreamZH. TRaSH profiles use StreamZH's built-in TRaSH Guides, so Recyclarr is no longer needed. Share links made before the switch end instead of opening a different title.
Remove the old apps
- By themselves: after the switch-over, CloudZH removes the old apps once SABnzbd has nothing left to finish: Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and SABnzbd, and Recyclarr, Requestrr or Unpackerr if installed. Their settings are kept under
/opt/cloudzh/removed, and you get a notification. Prowlarr follows later if StreamZH's indexers still go through it. Turn this off under Advanced in the StreamZH card. - By button: System Health and the StreamZH card offer Remove old apps. You pick the apps, and their settings are kept unless you clear the box.
- Complete migration: still running side by side? Advanced → Complete migration takes over what is missing, removes the old apps and switches StreamZH over.
Apps that talk to Sonarr or Radarr, such as Bazarr or Seerr, stop working without them. CloudZH names them before it removes anything.
