Promotion Terms

These terms apply to free license promotions offered by CloudZH: offers on a promotion page at cloudzh.app/promotions (announced, for example, on @CloudZH_app on X and u/CloudZH_app on Reddit), and personal codes that we give out individually, for example in giveaways or on request (each a "Promotion"). By taking part, you agree to these terms.

The Promotions are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, X Corp. or Reddit, Inc.

2. How It Works

• The promotion page or the message with your code states what the license includes, how long it runs and, for open offers, how many licenses are available.
• Open offers are first come, first served. A license counts as claimed when the code is redeemed in your customer account. The counter on the promotion page is for information and may lag slightly behind.
• Personal codes are for the person we gave them to, can be redeemed only once and must not be shared.
• No purchase is necessary. Liking, reposting or following is welcome but never required.
• A Promotion ends when all licenses have been claimed or at the end date stated on the promotion page, whichever comes first.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
• One free license from Promotions per person. Variants of the same email address (such as name+promo@…) count as one person.
• Trial licenses can be used only once per server (hardware).
• Unless the Promotion says otherwise, open offers are for new customers without a paid CloudZH license.
• Disposable and relay email addresses (for example Hide My Email or Firefox Relay) cannot be used.
• Using several accounts or email addresses to claim more than one license is not allowed. Licenses obtained this way may be revoked.

4. Redeeming

• Open the link on the promotion page or in your message and sign in, or create a free CloudZH account with your regular email address. You need to confirm your email address.
• The code is then applied to your account. Your license key and installation key arrive by email, and you can also find them in your customer account.
• Redeem personal codes by the date stated in the message. Unredeemed codes expire.

5. The License

• CloudZH Pro for one server, for the period stated in the Promotion (for example 6 months), counted from redemption, free of charge.
• It does not renew automatically and you will not be charged. After it expires and a short grace period, your server switches to restricted mode: your apps, media and backups keep running, new installs and CloudZH updates pause.
• You can buy a subscription at any time, right from your dashboard or customer account. Your server, apps and settings stay as they are.
• The license is personal and not transferable. It cannot be exchanged for cash or for another product.
• Our Terms of Service apply to the use of CloudZH, except for the provisions on payment.

6. Changes and Ending a Promotion

We may end, suspend or change a Promotion if it is affected by abuse, technical problems or other circumstances beyond our control. We decide on eligibility in good faith.

7. Privacy

When you redeem a code, we process your account details (name and email address), the code, the time of redemption and your IP address to issue the license and to prevent abuse. For personal codes, we note whom we gave the code to (for example a username). Our Privacy Policy applies.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence.
